Dogs and cats are part of the family and being equipped to deliver first aid to them in an emergency situation is vital. This course will provide you with the basics in CPR and First Aid care to help your furry family member.

About Course

Discussion and skills assessment include:

Pet First Aid Kit VS Disaster Kit, Heart Rate, Normal Breathing Rate, Temperature (Thermometer check), Seizures, Cold- Hypothermia / Hot- Heat Stroke, Shock, Bleeding (Capillary, Venous, Arterial), Signs of Infection, Burn Wounds, Poison (Induce vomiting), Allergies, Dehydration, Capillary Refill, Respiratory Distress, Giving Meds, BLOAT, CPR/Rescue Breathing (Big dogs/small dogs/cats), Choking and head to tail weekly checks.

Classroom

You will be required to come into the classroom for 2 hours to complete your learning and skills assessment.
